Resolution for Standard Work Day

Summary:

The New regulations from the New York State & Local Retirement System requires that elected or appointed officials

who are members of the Retirement System and don't work a set schedule or participate in the Village's time and attendance

system must keep a record of work-related activities for three months.  Futhermore, the Board of Trustees had to determine

what a "standard work day" for these employees would be.

 

 

 

RESOLUTION  The following resolution was proposed by Trustee Miller who moved its  

SET                adoption and seconded by Trustee Banker :

STANDARD

WORK DAY             BE IT RESOLVED, that the Village of Albion hereby establishes that seven (7) hours as the standard work day for elected and appointed officials (examples: Mayor, Trustees, PT Office Clerk and the Attorney) and will report the following days worked to the New York State and Local Retirement System based on the record of activities maintained and submitted by these officials to the clerk of this body.
